Energy Forecast is launched

The service was launched in May 2024, originally as an experimental idea to optimize personal energy consumption.

Initial features:

  • Electricity price forecasts for DE/LU market zone
  • Hourly forecasts
  • 48-hour forecast horizon
  • Free basic functionality
  • End of 2024: One-time payment for extended 96-hour forecast

15-Minute Electricity Prices

Our API now supports 15-minute electricity prices – in line with the market transition on 1 October 2025.

Multi-Market Zone Support

Energy Forecast now supports multiple European market zones:

  • DE/LU (Germany and Luxembourg) - Fully available
  • AT (Austria) - Beta
  • FR (France) - Beta
  • NL (Netherlands) - Beta
  • BE (Belgium) - Beta
  • PL (Poland) - Beta
  • DK1 & DK2 (Denmark) - Beta

Note: The new market zones are in beta phase. The models are still learning and forecast quality will continue to improve in the coming weeks.

English Language & Move to Hetzner

In February 2026 we took two important steps for broader reach and data privacy:

  • 🌍 Site now available in English – in addition to German
  • πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ Hosting now at Hetzner in Germany
  • βœ… All services moved to European servers

Based on user feedback and our roadmap, we are planning the following improvements:

This extension enables even better long-term energy planning and optimization.

November 2025 Pricing model update

Switch to annual subscription

As the entire service gradually became more professional, we adjusted our pricing model:

Old model

  • β€’ One-time payment for 96-hour forecast
  • β€’ Lifetime access for early users

New model

  • β€’ Annual subscription for premium features
  • β€’ Free plan remains unchanged
  • β€’ Continuous improvements

Important: All users who purchased the 96-hour forecast via one-time payment retain lifetime access. Thank you for your early support of the project!
